The Emerson Series
The Emerson series tells the stories of three generations of women – Rose, her daughter Lily, and her granddaughter Mary Beth – as they struggle to find their places in a world where the definitions of woman, wife, and mother are constantly shifting. From the family farm to the big city, from Vietnam to an Indian reservation, each woman carves their identities from equal parts tragedy and triumph, proving that the Emerson women can handle whatever God throws at them.
